Cephalotus cv. "Hummer's Giant" -- Leaf-cutting . . .RSS $60

Here is yet another chance to get your covetous, greasy little fingers on a Cephalotus follicularis cv. "Hummer's Giant," all to benefit a reasonably good cause. This well-established, small two-crowned plant -- growing in a 6 cm (2.4") pot -- was the result of a leaf-pulling (the subject of which we have all discussed ad nauseum on this site) from one of my honking Cephalotus back in June of 2008.

Here is a prime opportunity for the novice grower and oh, so generous benefactor to the NASC to obtain this often difficult-to-find cultivar. Shipping -- in its pot -- will be through insured USPS Priority Mail at auction’s close, at a cost of approximately 7.00.

Unfortunately, due to stringent phytosanitary regulations, shipping is only available to the lower forty-eight states . . .

Opening bid is 10.00 and my e-mail contact is ddentonca@gmail.com . . .

Bummer! Where's my Karma?

You mean after all my years of sharing plants with others,
Donating art to the ICPS,
Giving away terrariums,
and helping old women safely across the street!....
...That now someone is going to take away my opportunity for
Gigantic Cephalotus Happiness!
Bummer!

So much for my good Karma! :headwall:

Well, I am glad the money is going for a good cause at least.

Guess I'll go back to working on my Highland Terrariums....
This auction is too high for me this year.
(Like every year!)
Good Luck All!

Okay.... If thats how it is...

$55

"Sorry!"
(That is suppose to make it okay, right?)

I know it's for a good cause, but I really hate this process.

Apparently it's every grower for themselves.
Guess my days of giving away free plants is over!
Oh how I long for the old days!

Jeez! I guess I AM GrowinOld!

Stop making me feel bad :-(.

But I do have an idea if I manage to win this and BigBella would agree.

Well,

I am sorry to make you feel guilty! :crap:
That's part of what I don't like about this process. :puke2:
I end up feeling bad...
Not just when I lose, but even when others do.

Well, enjoy.
I do hope it grows well for you! :water:

No hard feelings...
Good growing & good luck!
:p
