Up for bid from **********.com is a mature, flowering division of Sarracenia 'Sunburst'. This cultivar was produced by Rob Sacilotto of Botanique, and is a S. x moorei (that's flava x leucophylla) hybrid. In our opinion, this is one of the finest moorei crosses available. The flowers are orange-red with striped petals, making the spring bloom spectacular. But the summer/fall pitchers are just as good! And unlike its leucophylla parent, it produces pitchers throughout the season!
The plant from which this division will be taken regularly produces beautiful pitchers 30 inches tall. Right now it has about a dozen flower heads, so this should end up getting to you in time to enjoy the flowers. We had a picture posted last year, and will try to get one up again this time.
Bidding starts a bit high at $15; but **********.com will pay the shipping. That will keep the winner from having to wait for a separate shipping payment to arrive.
Incidentally, there is very little time (read practically none!) for me to surf the Net, so questions posted on this thread may take some time to get replies. If you have pressing questions relating to this item, please e-mail me directly at orders(at)**********.com, and I'll get back to you as quickly as possible.
