Question on hybrids

In Tillandsia, a streptophylla x concolor hybrid looks vastly different from a concolor x streptophylla hybrid.

Does the same hold true of nepenthes? Doese a rafflesiana x ampullaria look completely different from an amupllaria x rafflesiana?

yes, because even if its the same plant being crossed, its genes will always be variable, leading to a diffrent looking plant each time (unless you propagate it asexually).

Hi Slau,

There can be tremendous variability in the offspring from either. If you cross a&b, the seeds will often produce plants that run the gambit of combined traits.
