It looks alot like the native cacti that grow on the plains here in north central Kansas. They have been in bloom for the last few weeks. In our redneck language, we call them prickly pears.

They look like the cactus pads for sale at the store in the produce department. I thought a prickly pear had longer spines, closer together.

You are prolly right pill. That is just what my great grand dad called them. They grow like weeds out here.

those grow wild in Texas too. Its just some kind of Prickly pear im sure. maybe a Hybrid
