I bought this plant a couple of months ago ID'd only as Sarracenia purpurea (purple pitcher plant) but what cutlivar is it, any idedas?

If you bought it from a store it's probably ssp. venosa, however, if we could get a closer look at the pitchers we would be able to tell more clearly...

If you bought it at a local nursery, I'd say it might be ssp. purpurea ... since you live in Canada. If all else fails, see if it will survive outside this winter .. if it doesn't, then it was most likely a venosa, lol.

Looks a little bit like my purpurea venosa 'ABG', the coloration and such.
