Robotic flytrap

I really like the first video, I think the butterfly is cool on it's little circle track.
The second video begs me to ask why not just by a flytrap? But hey, it's still a nifty little contraption.

If the robotic butterfly wasn't so slow, the robotic flytrap would never get it.

Huh, is it just me or is this a total embarrassment to Vft's everywhere? It seems to take a millennium for the trap to close. And it looks almost nothing like a vft haha

that poor robot was dropped on its circuit board when it was a little calculator...poor thing.
