Dead Leaf Mantis

I have 2 species. They sure look like dead leaves :)
First up, D. lobata

Fantastic! I'll bet D. lobata would look awesome against some white lichen on a piece of cork. Did you ever get more than one of these IIRC you only got one.

These were my very first mantis when I didn't have any experience with mantids, so I only have one of each. The D. lobata molted into an adult male this morning. There are a few local people than also have this species, I'll have to see if I can find him a mate.

OMG XD they're so pretty! I have got to get some mantises to patrol my plants..

If I can successfully get my native ones to mate, I can send you a bunch. Just tell your plants not to eat them ;)

I really had no idea the lobata was so pretty, please post a pic of his adult form when you get a chance!

Yeah, when I got them, I liked the dessicata better because it was more colorful. I had no idea lobata would turn white and look so awesome! I've found him a girlfriend, but she's not an adult yet, I hope he lives long enough for when the girl is ready.
