Dionaea muscipula 'Alien'

I finally got around to taking some photos of my 'Alien' Venus fly trap and I created a page on FlytrapCare for the official cultivar:
Dionaea 'Alien' Venus fly trap

This is my first growing season with it and I'm really liking this plant. The traps are much larger than I thought they'd be. The teeth on it look awesome. And the crazy number of little trigger hairs at the bottom of each trap are really cool.

Below are some photos I took. Enjoy!

i was kind of hoping for a trap with a second smaller trap in it...

propagation by parasitic eggs? :p

This does look gorgeous, though, and I love the pictures.

Love it...just added it to my wantlist.
I think it's on a lot of people's want lists right now. Hopefully I can get it in tissue culture and make it more easily available soon.
I like the trigger hair shots!
Thanks! I really like the one with the dark background and shadows.
In my eyes it's the coolest Dionaea so far!
I don't think you're alone with that opinion. A lot of people really like this plant.

That is a very nice looking plant. It looks vigorous too. Are all of the trigger hairs functional including the smaller ones? I would guess only the larger ones are.
