Just because a flytrap flowers doesn't mean it is neciserraly healthy or does it?

My understanding of flowering is that it takes alot of energy from the VFT to send up a flower stalk. So if it sends one up then I would say the plant is very healthy. VFT's don't tend to flower if they are sick from the information I have seen. Also though just because a VFT doesn't send up a flower doesn't mean that it is not healthy.

Venus Flytraps will flower once in the spirng, usually, as they come out of dormancy. However, some flytraps that have been going crazy all summer long, think it is a good idea to flower again in the fall.

There are those of us that believe a flytrap on the verge of death may send out a flower scape, in hopes of perpetuating itself, on last shot at life...
