Ibicella lutea(devil\'s claw)

Hey everyone,
Does anyone know how to germinate the seeds of Ibicella lutea(not a drosera or anything, but it does have sticky traps? I have 6 seeds to experiment with.

I have heard that to induce germination you have to:
1. pour boiling water over the seeds(harsh!)
2. crack the seeds
3. soak them in water for a few days
4. GA3(although I probably cannot get any)

What is the best method for the fastest germination?
Any help at all is greatly appreciated

I heard on the listserv you can give a cold stratification to them. The person who did this had very fast germination.
