I bought a spathulata from here a few months back and its getting pretty big I have no clue how many plants are in this big ole lump its about 1 1/2"~2" tall and its starting to look like.... well aside from it being healthy it doesn't look good too clumpy.

So how do I separate these things with out damaging the plants? or should I just let it go until winter? I dont even know if they need a dormacy period but thats a ways away from now so I aint worried about that yet.

spathulata's take seperating pretty good if after care for jigh humidity and light are achived. Just take a pair of twisers and gently pull out each plant w/ roots and repot in seperate pot of peat/sand or peat/perlite.

Spathulata can withstand a light winter dormancy, but its not needed.
