. Leaf cuttings for the sundew is not hard. It's the same same as leaf cutting for the VFT. In order to propergate a sundew, you need to chosen a healthy leaf with lots of dew. Cut the stem as close as possible to the plant. After that you lay the leaf cutting in pure spghaunum moss. Put a propegator dome over the container and put the container in full sun. Within a couple of weeks, you will have baby sundews from the cutting!

not necessary, the new plants emerge from the whole leaf...
leaf cuttings does not work with (most) pygmae, (most) tuberous, sundews, also does not work with Drosera burmanni and Drosera regia and it is very difficult with (most) Drosera o9f the petiolaris komplex.
(Most ;o) ) of the others are really easy !

Martin, how would a leaf cutting of binata work? I have never actually done this, and I think mine are still a little young to hack anything off, (The Y's are only a little over a centimeter across from tip to tip) Any how, if it does work, would growth only occur from the trapping portion of the cutting?
How would fungicide effect the cuttings? I have noticed that my Binata is prone to fungus, not so much now that my fan is up and going again though...

only tried the "leaf" (the part with the tentacles).
The exception are errect tuberous Drosera (Dr. gigantea) where I tried a stem cutting (similar to Nepenthes)

But wait until the plant is bigger and also wait until spring/summer.
Leaf cuttings during winter mostly are attacked by funghus, because its to dark...
I never tried funghizide.

I have never tried it myself but I have heard that you can take the leaf from a binata and float it in a covered dish of distilled water and that plantlets will develope from almost ever tenticle. The source may have been boasting but it might be worth a try
