I got the D. capensis with a flower stalk that splits. *Is this normal? *I've looked at other pics of D. capensis flower stalks and those don't have the splits. *Is it me or is this guy producing too many flowers *http://www.**********.com/iBhtml/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif *I have 2 D. capensis in a pot, it was one, then split into two. *So the pics below aren't just from one plant, although genetically identical.

Don't worry, mine do the same.I don't know why but they do.

That isn't normal. It looks like a slight mutation.

Nothing to worry about here, capensis often produces split scapes.

Hey Larry I see from your post you live in Southern CA. I live up north some in Sacramento and was just wondering what CP's you are able to grow outside (if you grow them outside)..thanks

For outdoor growing, VFT and Sarracenia are the best choices.
