Tc of pinguicula

Hi everyone,

I read on the cp archive(1995 or96) that some people had success with tissue culturing pings using unopened flower buds, which were easier to sterilize without browning than leaves. Does any have experience with this method? Leaf cuttings have failed for me, as the line is thin between killing the leaf or the possible sources of contamination. Seeds will not work as the plants are cultivars or plants which I only have one clone(2 clones are needed for successful pollination in the case of many mex. Pings).

Also, can mex. Pings in TC tolerate increase/decrease in temperature i.e. 75F for 14hr and 60F for ~10hr.

Thanks,
CP2k
