Sarracenia dormancy

trashcan

O:-)
I bought several Sarracenia (minor, and other unidentified, no traps yet) plants last month that were in horrible conditions at a DIY self shop. They are all recovering, at varying degrees. They are still very small, and not a single one has a mature trap. Should I force them into dormancy soon? I live in a tropical climate, and the temperature only drops to around 60*F..

Thats kinda a tough call not knowing their age or even approximates, given what knowledge you have though, I would forego the dormancy this year and just work on getting them into good health for next.

If they are all sars, and they have not issued a mature pitcher, than by all means, skip dormancy until they do.

I think 3 years is the outer limit.
