Seedling of g. violacea?

Hi,

Does G. violacea grow adult leaves immediately after germination? The reason I'm asking is that I'm used to droseras where the first leaves don't have traps. I am also surprised that the leaf is rather large too, approx. 5 mm.

Regards,

Christer

Hi Christer,

I grew some G. violacea from seed last season. They are very rapidly growing plants. Right from germination they quickly develop into the typical form, and mine flowered less than 3 months after germination.

Hi Tamlin,

and thanks for the reply. Great to hear that they are fast growers. I only got one to germinate so far, but hopefully there will be more later on.

Regards,

Christer
