my first orchids

my first orchid was a baby dendrobium , but it was still to young to flower , then I got a huge lady slipper at trader joes for around 15 bucks witch is really cheap and actually trader joes is the cheapest place I ever went to to get my orchids so I brought a baby flowering plaleneopis for around 7 bucks . the real question is how do orchids reproduct , I saw my dendrobium reproduct by growing baby plants on it's stalks but i think it's only that one that does that . I heard that the laddy slipper is a carnivorous orchid but i don't think so .
