Pepper Trees

hey im growing a couple of pepper trees and they have orange peppers, can i make like salsa w/ them? or eat them?
it probaly sounds a little wierd but someone said i could and i wanted to check.

I think you need to check, I was at a Garden Center at the weekend and they had some capsicum trees with big DO NOT EAT signs on them.
