Hey, anyone know what lengths you have to go through to propagate a tillandsia recurvata? I have one that flowered for a day, then exploded seeds the next. I want to see if I can start some off.
I don't really know why you'd want to propagate T recurvata (it's a weed in alot of places) but I'd recommend that you just sprinkle the seeds on something that'll stay moist for a while, like LF sphagnum moss or even a paper towel. FWIW, I've seen seedlings from this plant germinate on my mailbox, so i don't think that you'll have much trouble getting most of the seeds to germinate. Again though, I don't know why you'd want to keep this plant; It's ugly, and it's a weed.
