What to do with seeds arriving from overseas?

Hi,

Is there any special thing I can do with seeds arriving from overseas after 1 week in transit? Do I refrigerate them for a while or sow them straight away?

These are seeds that do not require stratification to germinate.

If the seeds req stratification, what is the proper way to do it? Do the seeds need some moisture or is plain refridgeration sufficient?

Cold stratification requires the presence of some sort of moisture, even if it's a damp piece of lfs in the bag with them refridgerated usually 1-3 months. Depending on the species of course.

Heat stratification just requires the seed to get and stay at a certain temperature for awhile...or get burned...or soaked in smoke water...depending on the exact species again.

If they don't require any sort of a stratification period...treat them like seeds you got from your neighbor. Just sow them and wait.
