Hi,
We've had a list of what everyone has.... how about a list of your 10 most wanted plants. Maybe we could get some trading (or even giving http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif) done here. Try not to only post rare ones as you will then likely not get anything http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/wink.gif
I'll start, here is mine:
1. Drosera paradoxa
2. Drosera graminifolia
3. Tuberous drosera not on my growlist
4. Drosera linearis
5. Utricularia alpina
6. pinguicula filifolia
7. Drosera indica giant or pygmy form
8. Drosera adalae 'red giant form'
9. Pinguicula moctequmae
10.Roridula http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif
If anyone has any of these for trade let me know. Post you wish lists below... Thanks!!
Noah

Hi noah,
If I trade in March the plants will be a little small(1in to 2in). If you are interested i will bring some to the meeting:) I'm interested in the genliseas and the SAmerican drosera seeds(what kinds?). I'll bring some Drosera hamiltonii and other mex pings and mex ping leaf cuttings from P.morellia, 'george sargent' and maybe some others. Thanks.

Last year it was Roridula dentata (was really hard to obtain)
At the moment there is no really NEED for a plant, but I would try Drosera falconeri, Utricularia menziesii, Utricularia quelchii, Nepenthes villosa and Heliamphora ionasii this year...
And I hope my next try with Byblis gigantea will be more sucessful.

I may have P.Moranensis "Alba" as the flowers are pure white. Is that it?

unknownclown
02-09-2002, 01:36 PM
well I wouldnt mind having one of those royal red vfts, and a N. hamata would be nice, maybe a N. aristolochioides those are kinda funky. A Byblis liniflora and Drosera scorpioides wouldnt be bad either.*

NG,
If you do have moranensis 'alba' I would be very interested. This plant has pure white flower petals and it is a heterophyllous mex. ping(forms succulent winter leaves that are noncarnivorous). Anyways...take a look at the gallaria at the CP faq. They have some photos of moranensis' flowers. The difference is that moranensis 'alba' has white flowers instead of the usual pink.

Unknownclown,
Those are some very nice photos. So many plants and flowers...

Well the only butterwort I have is the one you've seen and I thought it was a white flowering moranensis as I have checked with Phil (I bought it from him) and he siad NO it is definetly the Ioantha so sorry CP2k. I thought it was but only the Ioantha.

Those flytraps look good in the photo - the first impressive VFT flowers I've seen.
For my VFT collection I'd like all the varieties from Triffid Park, Australia. But with a minimum order of something like 100 pounds, I think I'll give it a miss http://www.**********.com/iBhtml/non-cgi/emoticons/smile.gif

Hi Alvin, I actually have no idea what some of these varieties look like, I am working with the variety list posted on Noah's web site trying to get a collection of every stable mutation and major color variation in the VFTs, I have not been able to find pictures of several of these varieties so I am unable to determine if they are actual varieties or just clever marketing, or even if they still exist!

Guess I'm late getting on this one! Anyway, what the hey here's my plants wishlist:
Nepenthes: N. edwardsiana (the true), N. klossii, N. platychilla, N. papuana (I may have it as Doorman's Top #2, Irian Jaya but nobody knows what this is exactly yet), N. dubia, N. tenuis...

And for my Aroid collection of course I must acquire:
Amorphophallus titanum (with a 6-10 ft inflorescence and bulb/tuber of 170lbs)
Arisaema griffithii (the Cobra Lily of the Jack in the Pulpit scene)
Alocasia robusta (world largest undivided leaves)

I'm always looking for new Pleurothallid alliance orchids (Dracula, Porroglossum, Restrepia...) I love those little guys!

I'm sure there are more but I can not think of them all. The main "most wanted" thing for me is a greenhouse. I want to be able to have two climates inside highland and lowland and I want to decorate it like a jungle with landscaping and plants growing "naturally" inground or in hidden pots. I guess I'm saying I won't be happy without my own botanical garden! http://www.**********.com/iB_html/non-cgi/emoticons/tounge.gif
