My bog flooded

Well my drainage holes need to be bigger!

My casualty was a dente. It was lost under the soil under the flood.

So after i gave up looking for about 30 mins and decided the try and fix this. So I added more soil to the side with the flood.

Should I make the holes bigger? Or should i loosen up the soil around the holes? I need help!!!!!!!!!!!

I have two mini bogs that I had not put drainage holes in, but the containers did have a plug in the bottom. I had been opening this plug after heaving rains to drain off the excess water. However, this became a chore and I have drilled two holes about 1.5 inches below the suface of the soil. This seems to have stopped the flooding.

I have not had a problem with flooding...too dry here.
