Is this an insect problem?

I noticed on several of my plants that the newly forming trap heads start to turn brown and die.  Is this an insect problem?  I have sprayed with pesticides per the instructions and I have used the soap/alcohol method for Thrips and Spidermites.  Could it be a fungus problem?  This summer I had problems with grass funus and many of my shrubs also had fungus.  Could my vfts also got this spot funus?  I noticed that one of my plants have pin hole like black spots on the leaves and traps.  It's very hard to see them and I don't see any insects. I had them outside on the deck.  I can't seem to find what the problem is with my plants.  Something is weakening them.  After I spray them they seem to come back healthy and then get weak again.  Any solutions would be great.
