Seed hlp

Ive read that Dionaea seeds need stratification but ive also read they can be sown immediately.
Which one is it?
And if they dont need stratification, does it help it even though it's not needed?

Well if they are fresh (less then 2 months old) they will germinate with out any stratifacation,however if they are any older a period of 6 week moist cold strating will give better germination.
