Two problems: weeds & mites

Hi there,

I once posted a while ago, about why my leaf tips were turning yellow/brown/dying and someone said I might have spider mites. Any suggestions as to what pesticides I can/should use to kill these little buggers?

Also, I've noticed a certain kind of weed growing with my plants. It's very light in texture (ie. I can just rip them off), but I'm not sure if they'll hurt the vft's or not. They actually look a little like single strands with leaves growing from all sides. They grow straight up. Any ideas?

the weeds, could it be the peat coming back to life? live lfs perhaps?

Ladybugs maybe? I know they eat aphids.
