lol its ok
i did the same with a dead cranefly at first, but the next day, it was wide open. so i go to remove it, and as i was removing it, the trap closed again
it ok, once the trap open, take a spray bottle and make it so that it shoots water in a thing single stream like a water gun. then, jus spray it out and it should trigger the trap.
