Crazy capensis

My capensis which flowered a couple months ago looked rather haggard thereafter. Just recently its new leaves started looking normal again. And then I noticed the beginnings of another flower scape emerging. It is kept outside, southern exposure. This new flower scape - Should it stay or should it go?

More seed for trading purposes would be nice, but the poor plant looks like it went through a war. Do you think it would survive?

If it had a hard time with the first flowering you might want to cut the flower stalk off to help the plant to recover from the first time.

Snip it. Capensises (Capensii?) are a dime a dozen, and a good looking, healthy plant is better than more plants.
