Perhaps you should read why before starting another thread? The reason was listed in the locking post.
what was wrong with the "all men are created equal" thread??
it was just getting interesting!
and just because the creator of a thread wants it locked, doesent make that a legimitate reason for locking it.
I didnt see anything wrong with that thread at all!
was it because its "controversial"?
so what!
we can handle it!
we had a huge discussion on racism,
how is this any different?
its far more interesting than many other topics lately.
oh well..if it gets deleted, so be it.
but I think it will be the loss of a good discussion killed for no good reason..
probably another unnecessary victim of political correctness.

Thread creator always has the option to have a mod delete/lock their thread. It was requested that it be deleted and I will do as requested but opted to lock it first with an explaination that it was at the topic creators request so everyone would see that it is not always the mods 'out to get everyone' as seems to be the case.
