Is the Abromeitiella brevifolia really a bromeliad? I've never seen any like that.

Hi Ben,
Yes -it is a brom and has green flowers - though there is one species with reddish flowers. They are very easy and tolerant and will form big clumps like that given time.

Nice collection! The UK has some great plant growing conditions. It's a wonder that anyone ever left to establish colonies. Unless it was to get Broms, Neps and Sarrs to grow back home. And the rum.

Fascicularia pitcairnifolia has a flower coulor i have never seen before! I was beginning to wonder if that shade even existed in a flower.
