Rookie needs help with Pinguicula

Hello --

My pinguicula primuliflora has started to rot. I originally had it in some water but it started rotting so I took it out and started to give it more sunlight. (It was originally in my basement) Is there any way I can save it? It is growing in a small pot with a lid covering it. I live in the Detroit Area wher the winters are cold and dry but the summers are hot & humid. I purchased the plant through a reputable source last october.

Hi and welcome to TerraForums. I can't say that this particular plant will survive, but they do very well in the pot they come in, but a SE window sill, sitting in a plastic container of distilled water - with the lid off. This is called the open tray method. They do best on a window sill.
