    dormancy

    how do you induce a mexican pings dormancy. is it by light temps or water?

    light cues. then once they start producing winter foliage cut back on water.

    Yup! Following the growing season, (generally speaking) they require a lower photoperiod, almost total dryness, and lower temps. Many will develop small, stubby, non-carnivorous leaves. P. agnata is one that won't.

    Mexican Pinguicula change leaf forms, they do not have a dormancy. Triggers for leaf form changes vary among the different species.
