    hey

i know that when these go into dormancy they need to be bone dry, but when will i know when to stop the watering? it is producing really small leaves that look just like the large summer leaves. are these the dormant leaves?? thank you for any help! When P.xGeorge Sargent starts to go dormant the leaves should shrink considerably. The entire rosette should be composed of numerous small leaves i.e. if the summer rosette had 12 leaves at a time, then the winter rosette should have upwards of 50 leaves. If the plant is going dormant, start to reduce the watering until the soil is completely dry.

ok, thank you. i can see now that it is starting to go dormant. the new leaves are comming in over twice as small as the summer leaves.
