I've spotted a few of the nasty little guys on my S. leucophylla a few days ago, and I've been removing them with tape until I can get to Home Depot or some place like that and pick up some Orthene.

Thats funny. With tape. Do you get them right on the back, and put the tape face up, and allow the little bug's legs to wriggle??? Have you ever considered a blowpipe? Perhaps small teeny tiny needles in a straw... I know aphids are small, but I'm sure if you are an african pygmy you can nail the little buggers on the head. Tape though. What if you had them face up, then dripped sap all over them?!?!?! Bwahahahaha!!! MAPLE SYROPE!!! Drown them in maple syrope!!! Yay!!!

I pretty much just fold the tape over and imprison them.

You can probably submerge the sarr. in distilled water to the rims of the pitchers. Leave the plant for around 1-2 days, and the aphids will be drowned.

    check out:

Barry recommends using a large container for the water. I have never tried this.

Tamlin, I thought I spotted Gollum in your post?
