God must have an interesting sense of humor
The Savage garden recomended a potting soil that had five of six different components(none of which I have). What is an easy mix. These are the only ingrediants I have at the moment. LFS, peat, and perlite.

Wes,

Go 2-3 parts perlite to 1 peat and you should be fine. Let it dry out a little between waterings too

I got some vermaculite(sp) today. What would a good mix be now?

You could go evens on those three or even 2:2:1 with perlite, vermiculite and peat. My personal experience is this species did not do that great with the original D'Amato mix of peat/perlite with a little peat. It got much bigger with the Savage Garden mix.

My plant likes a loose airy mix that stays just dampish to moist. Not wet. Not bone dry. It is nearly a succulent.
