its funny just how ugly some of them are

nice collection :D

Lot of shrubbery there. :-D What is the 4th one up from the bottom in part2?

That would be a Crassula cv. 'Buddha's Tower'.

My Tradescantia 'kitten's ears' has flowered. I've been waiting for this for two weeks.

Crazy stuff. Lucky you're able to grow them outside. I have Aloe saponarias blooming right now too... in the winter, I just chuck the plants into my unlit basement and they go 3 months without light and pop right back in the spring. I find that as long as you don't contribute to any new wintertime growth, you rarely wind up with sunburn because the older tissues are still full sunlight-adapted.

Hey, when you get poked by a cactus it is merely the cactus giving you a kiss. We all know that love hurts.

Funny how similar Tradescantia flowers look to the bog plant Cuthbertia graminea.

mato, that would be me right now. Someone gave me some five foot cacti in five inch clay pots and there was nothing to stop them when I re-potted them.

If it's stiff spined you need to invest in a good set of leather gloves. Still handle carefully though. For softer spined "glochids" ones, use paper to prevent dislodging.

The first is a Crassula cv. "Buddha's Temple" and the second I believe, off memory, is an Acantharhipsalis Monacantha.
