    Hi . Are ther any Cactai that grow in the humid hot rain forests that would do ok in low light levels? I have an tropical terrarium and wonderd if there are such specias that would do ok in there?

    I'm not an expert.

    I believe, however, that the reason that a cactus is a cactus is to retain water in an unbelievably dry environment. *shrug*

    Like I said though... I'm not an expert; I might just be made to look real silly.

    The following Genus' are tropical epiphytic and commonly found:
    Schlumbergera, Rhipsalis, Epiphyllum, Selenicereus, Disocactus, Rhipsalidopsis, Hylocereus, and there are many more that are less commonly found.

    Most are not suitable to a terrarium unless it is huge. They grow very large in most cases. Rhipsalis would be the best chance.
