    Seed sale for charity

    *** Closed ***
Many thanks to all who participated (Final Results)
    =======================

After many requests to sell some of my seeds, I've decided to offer some with all proceeds* to be donated to the ICPS. (This is being done with special permission from Andrew - so please do not assume that sales are now ok on Terra).

*** Please read instructions at bottom before placing an order. ***

    <1C> Cephalotus follicularis 'Hummer's Giant' (**sold out** - 14 originally posted)(limit of 5 / order)
    - seeds are super-fresh as I'm still harvesting some each day
    - please note that the plants germinating from these seeds will not be the 'Hummer's Giant' clone - they are the sons / daughters of Hummer's Giant
$10 for pack of 10 seeds (plus shipping)

    <1C - 2007> Cephalotus follicularis 'Hummer's Giant'
I've received a bunch of requests for the HG seed. I am out of this year's harvest - sorry. However, last year I allowed 3 plants to flower and I kept one pack (of ~20 seeds) for myself. I have read that Ceph seeds are very time dependent and that year-old seeds are likely to be toast. However, with that being said, if someone wants to try these seeds for charity - they are now officially available... (refrigerator-kept)
    $5 (+ shipping) for ~20 - 2007 Ceph 'HG' seeds **sold out**

    - Photos of many plants (where available) are located in my growlist. Number in parenthesis is my personal tracking code - which can be used to locate them in the growlist (red number).
    - all seeds harvested in last 2 weeks (unless noted)
    - For items in short supply, I will adhere to 'first come, first served'.
    - I hope the prices are fairly reasonable - I have attempted to place fair market values on each offering - not 'fire-sale' prices, since all proceeds are going to charity. (IMHO - some prices are far too cheap & some are probably too expensive...)
    - I will update this post periodically to reflect current inventories.
    - All sales will be via Paypal.
    - There will only be one shipping charge per order ($2). If plants are ordered (see other post), seeds will be included with plant order without additional shipping charge.
    - If you would like to make a purchase, send an email to XXXX with your desired seeds (& plants).
    - - When ordering, please use the number within < > with quantity of packets requested (so I can try to keep things straight)(I suspect that this may be a logistical nightmare)
    - - I will confirm availability and total cost and provide you the email address to utilize for Paypal payment.
    - - upon receipt of payment, shipment will be made (probably on Saturday for Mon/Tues receipt - or when I find a few minutes)
    - * every penny not spent on shipping will be donated to ICPS. So, even though I may charge $2 for shipping, if actual costs are $1.40, the differential will be donated.
    - Upon request, I will include a pack of Sarracenia seeds (of a species which I am not allowed to sell...)(extra pack of seed - USA only)(specific variety info for those who got a pack: S. oreophila = 31x30CL2 // S. alabamensis = 51Ax51D // S. rubra ssp. jonesii = 52x52A - details in growlist)
    - Non-USA sales ($6 shipping)
    All the best,

I want to thank everyone who has responded to the sale. It has greatly exceeded my expectations (and sadly - my ability to reply in a timely manner - sorry). I believe that I have responded to everyone at this point. If you have not heard from me, please email me again or post your question in the forums.

I'd like to ask that anyone who has an interest or plans to make an order - to do so soon (ideally by late Thursday night). I've updated inventories in the posts so they should be quite accurate. This will allow me to ship all orders by Saturday morning for Mon / Tues receipt.

Beyond the benefits to ICPS conservation initiatives, this has once again allowed me to see quite clearly that 1) mail-order retailing would not be a good career choice for me and 2) the various seed bank managers (ie: John Brittnacher, Sheila Little, etc) should be placed on a pedestal & worshiped for their work ....
    All the best,
    Ron
