    Free S. Jonesii SEEDS

    Hello all.

I have recently harvested my S. Jonesii seeds. I am wanting to give away a few packets. They will have about 15 seeds each (I have 3 packs.) This is not a SASE. I will pay shipping (all 44 cents. Edited) This is not a first come first serve. I will pick 3 winners. All I ask is that you fill out a few questions.

    1. Are you fully aware of how rare and endangered this plant is?
    2. Do you have (successful) experience growing Sarracenia from seed?
    3. How long have you been growing cps?
    4. How long have you been growing Sarracenia?

I will review the posts on October 11th. all entries after then will be discarded.

Mods: if you find any issues, feel free to let me know. I hope that this is in a format that is acceptable.

    1. Yes I am Aware
    2. I hope I will have Success. I'm trying Oreophila seeds at the moment. This would be another nice addition to my Sarr collection. I been looking for Jonesii for a long time.
    3. I've been growing CP's for like 5 or 6 years now.
    4. I've been growing Sarracenia for like 3 or 4 years now.

Thank you so much for this opportunity at S. Jonesii. I hope I am one of the Lucky ones. This is an awesome, beautiful species.

    1. "Sarracenia jonesii is extremely endangered; the few populations that remain are stressed by changes in water hydrology, in particular decreased water flow and degrading water quality. This plant is listed as "Endangered" within the USA and is on CITES Appendix I..."

    2. Yep. rubra, leuko and oreophila.

    3. 4 years.

    4. My first cp was a S. purpurea, 4 years ago.

It's awesome you are extending the availability of such a rare plant. The more it is available the less likely (hopefully) that it will be a poachable commodity. Thanks.
