    Not CP Eastern redbud

    Eastern redbud (Cercis Canadensis)

I have several of these growing around my house and every spring I get a couple of variegated seedlings. Some of them are so white they don't survive, others barely have any white at all. There are two flowering trees in the area where I see the most of them. If anyone is interested in a SASE let me know. I checked this morning and there were still seed pods on the trees. If folks are interested Iíll break out the ladder this weekend and gather some seeds.

I just googled it and it is VERY pretty. I very much wish I had room for another tree.

    Oh I'd love some
but don't want you to put you life in peril jest for me
Every seed that you plant ,doesn't sprout.
Every seed that sprouts, doesn't make it to maturity.
Every cutting that you stick doesn't grow roots.
Every cutting that roots doesn't grow to a small plant.
Every small plant doesn't reach maturity.

Just to be clear the parents are not variegated. But I do find variegated seedlings sometimes.
I gathered some pods off the two most likely sources yesterday.

Brought up some pictures and my wife decided she'd love one of those in the front yard. o.O

Northern Colorado is one classification colder than Ohio, y'think it'd work? If so, I don't even know how to start a tree. Start the seedling indoors late this winter and plant it in spring?
