Happy Holidays Everyone! I have decided to do a giveaway of some seed from my Colocasia gigantea 'Thailand Giant' I grow mine hydroponically but it can be grown in pretty much any sort of soil. These plants get very big, very fast. When I say big I'm talking like this big: http://i63.photobucket.com/albums/h155/novaphotoguy/Elephant Ears/ThaiGiantinSeptember.jpg
Here are the seeds, if you wanna count them for me feel free, but they are stacked about 3 layers deep so whatever number you get multiply by 3

that particular plant is probably around 1-2 years old. They are not particularly cold hardy (Zone 7b seems to be as harsh as they can take it and thats with a huge mulch pile) but they can be dug up and stored in a cold garage as long as it doesn't get below freezing. That is how I overwinter mine. Anyway, I have at least a few hundred seeds so I figure about 10 seeds per person SASE style. Sign up your name in the list below and I'll do a drawing.
I'm not sure how many winners there will be because i really don't want to count out how many seeds I have right now but there should be at least 15 winners. I will include directions for germination with the winners' SASE. Good Luck Everyone! This Giveaway ends December 31st, 2012 at midnight.
Sidenote: Please don't let the size of this plant deter you from entering! These make great gifts for parents, friends with yards, friends interested in hydroponics, and collectors of odd and crazy plants like most of the people on this forum So come one! Come all! and win yourself some awesome seeds today!
Oh and Happy Holidays to everyone!
