    Yes, the moss is entering dormancy here. The brownish coloration that you may notice is one of the signs that starts to appear this time of year.

    Nothing too fancy, I just hope the moss will grow laterally to the top, and then when a plant is grown you can see the root systems hitting the bottom. I think it would be cool if the moss didn't grow too densely, and then you could see roots growing and spiraling down the air pockets between the moss.
