Dragoness
For the love of Science!
Any Hoya lovers here? I have a few species doing well for me, and would like to share with anyone interested. Shipping is on me.
Most Hoyas are grown for their flowers, but several (like h.curtisii and h. Carnosa 'compacta') also have interesting foliage. See photos in links below for examples of what the blooms look like. I have only linked to photos of Hoyas I have successfully bloomed. The rest are easily searchable, if you want to see what their flowers look like. Rooting Hoya cuttings is fairly simple. They like open airy mixes, not unlike something you would keep a nep in. Cuttings root best if kept humid, but will tolerate lower humidity once established. All of my Hoyas currently live in a south facing window in a room with above average (but not quite jungle level) humidity. Many of them bloom well in those conditions.
I will take one cutting from each of the following species for each of TWO winners, who will be randomly drawn next Thursday (June 18th) Winners may choose any or all of the plants.
H. Curtisii
H. Wayetii
H. Pubicalyx 'royal Hawaiian purple'
H. 'Mathilde'
H. Carnosa 'compacta'
So, sign yourself up for one or more species, you know the drill.
