Hi Dew

I'm glad Noah liked the card. I wanted something special so I made it myself. They don't sell CP cards in stores. Maybe we should speak to Hallmark about that! I'm glad he likes my new pup.

Thanks for all the updates...I sure hope all these tubes get some weight on him fast and home soon.

I don't guess anyone here has an un-used laptop Noah could borrow? I don't have one.

I know he must be getting tired of being in the same place all the time. They definitely need to pass that hospital laptop around more so others can use it.

He REALLY likes that card. Hey may be a side job for you to produce them ;)
The "Life specialist" (I think that is what they call them) is going to wheel Noah up a floor where there are offices and permit him to use a stationary computer on that floor. So, barring any complications, Noah will be able to post here tomorrow himself!!!! I sure hope that computer is up and running for him. "Starman" I sure don't have a laptop. Would that I did. I do have a spare computer (no monitor and it is a dinosaur) but really the room he is in is too cramped for a full sized computer.
What IS this face?

It looks like it is throwing up. Glad it is not colored green. Oh, I see it says it is supposed to be angry. Looks more like a hangover, no?

I haven't read ALL the posts, but is Pondboy a member of ICPS [International Carnivorous Plant Society]?

  • #84
nesmall, I just got off the phone with him he said he was not a member there.

Funny...I almost made a pack of CP cards to auction off on the NASC Benefit Auction.  I thought they'd be neat to have for special occasions.  But I never got the time to do it because they take some time to make.

Well I hope he can get to a computer.  I'm sure that would feel mighty good to stretch those fingers once again.

Pond Boy's mom...you definitely should be named an honorary TF member since you've been so good posting to us.  Even better...make up your own name and join us. You've come a long way since your first post...you're getting into the swing of things. lol

(and yeah...some of these "smileys" need a little work...good assement of the angry face...lol)

aw, thanks. I was thinking since I have used the name Dew or variations of it for the past 9 years or so I could use some sort of sun_dew (hey wait, Noah is the Son of Dew) I did have a question. I wanted to bomb the house because of a large spider population this year but wondered if his plants would be adversely affected. (Noah if you got on a computer and are reading this - relax, I haven't done anything yet!)
Also, he wanted to convey his thanks for the nice card and gift from "greenhouse1?"

Noah, Son of Dew...lol.  Son Dew?  Son's Dew?  Dew is a cool name though.

As for the bug bomb...I don't THINK it would hurt BUT...if you did it, if you could cover his plants I think that would be best.

But maybe someone here would be more knowledgeable as to whether it might harm his plants.

Thoughts anyone?

Well a bug bomb is made for bugs and unless i missed something and plants have nervous systems then i dont think they will be affected, but dont take my word for it.

Well, these plants are very sensitive to chemicals, so I'd rather err on the side of caution. My friend's house got a full tented termite extermination the other month, and they made the family take out all of the plants and specially bag the food...

Well, do you know what kind of spiders they are? Some entomologists reccomend leaving in peace large colonies of house spiders that form in crawlspaces and similar areas. Removing them allows other spiders(such as hobos) to come along.

I don't know exactly who this kid is, but I wish him a fast recovery! It must be a bummer to be in the hospital for that long(I havent been in the hospital for anything longer than a checkup).

There is quite a variety of spiders, the wolf spiders do not bother me much although they are big and....well....spidery. But, we do have brown recluses and varieties of black widows and jumping spiders and oh so many more.

IM BAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAACCCCCCCCCCKKKKKKKKKKKKKK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They got internet access in the hospital finally! .:) So I`ll be on for probably a while anyways. The reason my mom hasn`t updated in a while is cause her computer died:( So she sent it back to gateway for repairs hopefully the warrenty will cover it.

As for me I`m all healed up from surgery and even though they`ve been pumping about 4,000 calories of jevity and nutrin for the last 1 1\2-2 weeks I`ve only gained a few pounds:( Still not eating anything either.

BTw. Thanks to every body who sent cards letters presents or posted there thoughts on the forums. You guys\gals have been so nice! Oh and Btw PAAK that card you sent me is realy cool!

Welcome back noah, and welocme to the forums, Dew! Few times are as high as this, so enjoy it. Are there any side effects besides being plant-sick noah?

Nice to actually hear someone recover around here.
