Catopsis beteroniana...

Hello Friends,

Here's a few shots of a friend's C. beteroniana. It does have flower spikes, but they weren't quite open yet.

Nice, very powdery/waxy leaves! :)

Those are absolutely huge! How long have you been growing them?
 
Very cool. I just ordered a carnivorous bromeliad (Brocchina Reducta)

Apparently, the Brocchina was recently discovered to produce digestive enzymes, making it an official carnivorous plant.
 
Very nice pair of Catopsis. Do those plants self pollinate or is more than one plant necessary? And any word yet if these bromeliads are moving from the psuedo carnivorous category over to being fully fledged carnivores?
