    I cut off first year flower stalks to let plants spend their energy on growth. That way, a plant will be larger next year and will produce much more seed. And, as you said, all the seed goes to the ICPS.

    how come the seed bank doesn't show any alabamensis? just wandering, i put a second alternative in my order

    Kirk, my alabamensis sent up 10 scapes on one rhizome this year. Must be real happy. You can get 20 packs of seed easily from that.

    Kirk,
    I have two plants of Alabamensis that I crossed on one another. Each plant had at least three flowers and the seed pods are capable of producing at least 100 seeds each. I only put 10 to 15 seeds or so in the packets per ICPS suggestion for CITES species.
