Pings in singapore?

Hi all,

How do u all care for your Pings in Singapore? I got a P.x weser today from FEF, and was wondering if I can treat it the same way as my VFTs and sundews.

Can the ping take strong sunlight in S'pore, or will it do better under partial shade? Do I water it using the tray system? Also, do u think the ping can take tapwater, since I read in Savage Garden that it enjoys a little bit more minerals than other CPs, and as such should be potted in a mixture containing vermulite (sp?)?

Thanks!

where did you buy the Ping from?FEF at queensway or tompson?

Queensway. Were there any when u last visited on Friday?

no...i wanted to go there today but i didnt so im going tomorrow

Hi eBeyonder

Generally Ping do better under partial shade, high humidity, but not wet soil, tray system is fine, just make sure not too much water. Use clean water! Avoid tap water! (tap water contain more than minerals). Yes, Mexican Ping (P.x weser) likes mineral soil mix, I use vermulite/Perlit/peat 60/30/10.
