I was doing some radio channel surfing and heard Bob Seger's rendition of "Little Drummer Boy". Later, I heard Michael Jackson singing "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus", soon followed by the Carpenters. In a few weeks. Home Depot will be piping 4 weeks worth of every Christmas song that Elvis covered, along with every imaginable rendition of Rudolph.... Oy Vey! What's going on here?!

It's all about the mighty dollar. It gets earlier and earlier every year. Walmart had their christmas stuff out in September Last year it seemed every time I heard a christmas song it was in a commercial Happy spending season everybody!

A few weeks ago I was in Lowes and they had all manner of Christmas tree decorations on display. Man, I don't wanna hear a Christmas song until December - unless it's Grandma Got Run Over By A Reindeer! They should go on and make it a year long celebration so they can push it for 12 months a year instead of 3. The commercialism of Christmas is disgusting.

Most people stay so stressed out over spending money they don't really have to spend on gifts they can't enjoy the elements of the season that have real meaning...like fellowship and good will towards mankind.

Best Christmas present for me is just going out to dinner with friends and spending some time together laughing and having fun.

I've been waiting for years to rip on the concept of santa clause and all this other bull ****. Why have we turned a christian holiday, supposed to be celebrating the birth of jesus into, a disgusting, basturdisation of the true meaning of the holiday. We've practicly made our own meaningless holiday, blending christianity and spanish traditions (papa noel). I don't care if I seem rude. I think it's disgusting when I see aetheists celebrating christmas. Look, if you are an aetheist, and are celebrating a christian holiday, either don't call yourself an aetheist, or don't celebrate the freakin holiday. What we've turned it into is wrong on so many levels, it would take me days to do justice to it ! And please, don't get me started on this rediculous form of easter we celebrate! I bet a vast majority of America's youth doesn't even know why we really celebrate these holidays. It's crap like that that almost makes me see why some in the middle east don't like us. Quite frankly, it makes me angry!

I was just hoping to put off the music until the 4th week of December and eliminate Elvis singing Blue Christmas and I absolutely despise Rudolph... That song doesn't even make sense. Think about it. Here ya have a pre-adolescent, geeky reindeer, whom his peers can't stand. I mean, whenever he goes to the lavatory, other reindeer beat him up and he gets his books knocked on the ground and gets snow rubbed in his face.... And then, in all his infinite wisdom, Santa decides to make him his favorite. Do you know what happens to favorites? Well. let's put it this way... they're not all of a sudden gonna love him, not unless it's some political move. No, Rudolph is dead meat. He's toast. He's reindeer jerky! And if I hear that song one more time.....
