Yay, new cam.

*Grr, again the url is to long for the thumbnails to work*

I cropped some of the pictures, some I haven't done anything with. All shots are just taken as point and shoot. I haven't started trying to play with any settings yet.

Pinguicula jamauvensis - You can really see how elongated everything got without proper lighting, and you can also see the new leaves that have grown since then. - Flower is almost open. I'll get a shot of it fully open tomorrow.

Pinguicula 'Aphrodite' - Off to the right you can see plantlets, starting on a couple leaves.

Cool! Nice shots. What camera is it?

Kodak Z740 5MP

I just ordered a macro lens for it, so maybe some better close-ups after i get that.

Nice pics. And your plants look good.

But it just reminds how I don't have a camera.

I'm SO mad at Nikon. They told me 7-10 working days on the camera. They've had it since Dec. 12th (I put delivery confirmation on the package) and their website is saying they received it Dec. 21. So where was it sitting for TEN DAYS?

Sorry...I'm just upset. This is the first Christmas I haven't had a camera.

Gawd, be sure to give us some pics when that macro lense comes in. Gotta get my fix, you know?!

PAK, how far away is the Nikon Place? What did you use to ship it to them? (USPS, or do they have a special Nikon thing?) If it was USPS, I know December is a busy shipping month, but 9 days does seem like quite a while.

Well, no lens yet but a few more pictures to share.

Jonathan, they got the camera in 3 days...I mailed it Priority Thurs. Dec. 9 and delivery confirmation showed it was delivered Mon. the 12th. Their letter to me says it was received the 14th and their online tracking says it was received Dec. 21. I talked to someone at Nikon yesterday and they SAID that the camera has been repaired and was sent to their "quality control" department on the 21st, but that is NOT what the web site says. All that says is "Order confirmed." He said it would ship today or tomorrow but the web tracking still says "order confirmed." My beef is...if it takes them several days to log the camera as received, then more days to get it repaired, then MORE days to sit in "quality control" for them to decide if its fixed or not, then MORE days to get it to shipping...then you don't tell a customer "7 days to get it repaired." If its going to take 3-4 weeks, then SAY that.

Gawd...those are more really nice pics.

I really like the first one.

Ooh, I see, PAK. I got confused initially because you have two different tracking things (the USPS one, and the one on the Nikon site.) That sounds like a mondo pain the butt. They should really be as expedicious as possible considering the time of year and all.

Gawd, awesome shots, those some nice flowers. All very nice.

I've asked my wife for a macro lens for my Canon EOS 20D for my B-day, Feb 2.

I want the Canon EF 100mm f/2.8 Macro USM Lens, in case anybody here is feeling particularly generous!

Great pictures, and lovely plants. That's the only legitimate use for spiders, and how I like to see them.
