Wow thats crazy, you would think the shock and 2 days in a fridge would kill him\her.. But maybe not if only one or two pellete penetrated
I heard last night on the news that Perky died on the operating table, they thought they lost her but 20 seconds later she was flapping her wings, lol. Now she's in a bird sanctuary. YAY Perky Duck!

some how i find it satisfying to know my wife wouldnt have called the vet..........she prolly would have finshed the thing off before i got home by herself, cleaned it to mke sure it was dead and served it up for dinner
course i cant fathom leaving a whole duck ing the fridge for two days.........would imagine the guts would get quite ripe being as insulating as the feathers are helping put off the cool down.........rule around here is birds are cleaned when yah get home, big game may hang in the garage overnight if temps allow it, if they dont butchering must commence right quick...........
