Hey bro, I too am a truck guy either flowmaster or magnaflow will give you good sound and performance. The flowermaster tends to have a tin ney sound... while the magnaflow seems to be a little bit deeper. I don't know if you're familiar with cardomain.com but here is my truck... Tax season was just here so it was time to do some stuff to it.
my truck's site (old pictures at top, new pictures/mods at the bottom...)

And to hear some videos I put together for my dakota/durango community as to what a magnaflow sounds like on these trucks... You can view them right here... (anyone with a dakota or durango feel free to join the forum... Lots of fun people and good information )

P.S. I am a Chevy guy but bought this with the addition of kids because it has a HUGE back seat and can fit the rear facing car seats... Oddly enough, full size trucks (even the quad cab dodge) have small back seats which don't, or barely fit rear facing car seats ....)

Some people get noticed by discovering a cure for a disease or by hitting the game winning shot. Others drive a loud truck.

Love the purrrrr of my magnaflows. I don't own a truck. Cold air intake and catback exhaust will make your truck sound like a bad!@$ mot!@#$%^ hehe

Nice sound, sounds just like my dads Ram 1500 2002. I think magnaflow would be a great choice for that low rumbleand the perfomance gains seem really good compared to Flowmasters.

Plantakiss- It is simple. I like th sound of a healthy motor. It's nothing to do with "get me noticed" (as bruce stated) that is the same reason I like my truck to look good. It isn't to show off.... It's because I take pride in my auto. If you care for the appearance, it is likely you'll care for it's internal health. You can't tell me you look at a dirty, rusted, beat up piece of crap and say "I bet that thing will run forever!!" As far as loud exhaust, when you have a larger motor, like a V-8 or some larger V-6s they get performance gains from louder exhaust by having less back pressure. Once it is easier to get air out, it is easier to get air in (that's the reason for after market exhaust and cold air intake at the same time) As far as resinators on 4cyl. that is to get noticed and be generally annoying IMHO.

Ooooooo-K. So...if my Jeep has a loud motor...that's a good thing? Is it good when a loud truck or car goes by my house and drowns out the sound of my TV?

If it has to be explained.. you wouldn't understand.
